Re: advice and tips please (marmite)
hey guys.
The salt is really confuzing. basically because your liver is already breaking down fat and processng lots of water then more salt means it has to work even harder. however people need to have salt in thier diets for thier organs to function propperly too.
seeing as we are alowed that stock stuff in soups and it's quite high in salt then a little marmite in water should be ok. just dont have it too often and pay close attention to your body. if you have it and feel unwell after then would be a good idea to lay off in future.
everyone's body works differently so make sure you listen to yours as too much and too little salt can both be bad for you.
hope that helped

Re: advice and tips please (marmite)
Hmm, I seem to recall seeing somewhere that Bovril was recommended!! I was under the imperssion that due to the vast quatities of water drunk with this plan that extra salt was actually a good idea? In fact isn't there a bit recommending sodium supplements if you feel dizzy or am I getting mixed up? I don't see the harm personally and if you are craving something then surely your body knows best, how about everything in moderation and just drink lots to compensate maybe?

Hi
Hi I dont think Marmite is allowed as it is quite high in salt, which affects the kidneys. Understand they are working hard re the level of water and dont need the extra burden. Think this will have to be something you look foward to when at target.
You can use fresh herbs and spices in all the soups if you fancy a different flavour and even tabasco sauce.
All the best

Hi Tia
sorry to say but I am pretty sure you can't have marmite, can't remember why but sure it is a no no. I think it might be the salt content.
if in doubt why not email the pixies (customer support), on "support@thekeediet.co.uk"
They are just so helpful and friendly.

advice and tips please (marmite)
Hi i am on day 3 of the plan which consists of total meal replacement. i have given up smoking so have will power.
I am finding that the variety on this diet is great, but my downfall is coffee.
i haven't had any milk at all, as i know that will lead me into snacking.
I absolutley love marmite, its a bad weakness, marmite on toast wow.....
is it ok to put it in hot water as a drink, or bovil? this will help me cut down on the coffee.
all advice welcome and much appreciated.
