Post by MrsBadcrumble Mon Mar 26, 2012 7:03 am

Lucy, I think you're feeling very much like quite a few other posters on here. As some of us also feel a bit 'stuck'.

It is hard not to have an expectation on the scales to keep shifting downwards at a fair pace, but to then see nothing seems really harsh, especially when we consider how much we're going without, as it were.

I know you can get a plateau on all diets, but I think we are probably of the assumption that we might expect to have a regular weekly loss with a diet like Kee.

I'm trying to convince myself that even if I don't see the loss on weigh day, if I'm sticking with the plan, the losses will eventually come, regardless. Like it will just catch up with my body anyway.

Sorry to hear the family have all been poorly, and that you've got a return of an old illness. Wishing you a speedy recovery all round, and here's to a better week ahead, with hopefully the reward of a resulting loss for you (and the rest of us)!

Take care

Lucy's weight loss journey WK1 Empty week 4

Post by lucylu78 Mon Mar 26, 2012 5:12 am

Hi girls

Sorry havent posted for a week, its been hecti. All the family except me have had lergy,
Baby is teething, hubby working over time and i'm hormonal!!

I knew i was going to hit my plateau at some point but could really have done with seeing
the scales shift a bit this week. But no stayed exactly the same. I know a stone in 4 weeks is still
a really good result but have been so close to giving up this week.

My OH has been great at keeping me on track and thinking of end result.
Still feel like poo on a stick especially as an old illness i had has reared its ugly head
again over the weekend.

Hope everyone else is doing well-i love reading about you all.

Thanks for all your messages yesterday, sorry not to reply but was up
to my eyeballs and just didn't have the time.

I can't believe it but i slipped up yesterday. My daughter had left some chips on her plate,
only about 3 or 4 and i absentmindly ate them. I can't believe it...! It wasn't even like i wanted them either
I just picked them without even thinking. Goes to show doesn't it that its habits like these
that don't even register on the food scale, that gets one into trouble with weight in the first place.

Hoping that it hasn't thrown me out of ketosis, was kicking myself afterwards.

hope you are ok and that you can now focus and move on with your journey. It does make it so hard when you have to look after family. Not tried the BBQ crisps only the onion so maybe worth a go.

Morning Lucy, Glad to hear that your feeling better, its a struggle when you are under the weather. I admire the keebees on
here with young children, it must be twice as hard with little mouths to feed especially when they have leftovers on
their plates. Llucky for me i dont have much temptation in my way (i do work in my son-in-laws cafe though and have to put up
with the delicious smell of fried onions......) as i only have my hubby to feed.

Its nice to see your piccy, makes people seem more real somehow and its nice to see who we are chatting to.

Have a good day

It was so tiring but we did it, i ordered those trousers in the end so excited for them to come.
Did u get anything in the end?

They decided they wanted food in a pub in the afternoon, so i was still good and had chicken and salad, and then for my tea had a meal bar.

Tried the bbq soy puffs too and they are scrummy!!

last family meal tonight...thank goodness for that!!

Lucy's weight loss journey WK1 Empty Coke Zero

Post by Admin Thu Mar 08, 2012 1:08 am

Hi Imp, you're right both do not contain citric acid and therefore will not affect ketosis. Fizzy drinks are not always the best, there was another discussion on here some time ago.

Moderation is the 'kee' word, have in the cupboard for when you feeling nothing else will do. They don't count towards your liquid consumption but every now and again is acceptable.

Post by Admin Thu Mar 08, 2012 12:59 am

Poor thing, it isnt easy to diet when not feeling when, keep warm, keep motivated - just keep telling yourself how well you have done so far and you don't want to go back to where you was.

Try adding some extra herbs or tabasco / chilli to a soup to give a kick of taste, have an extra HP product if you have one, maybe a dreamy mousse might do the trick or if really fancy something sweet try some Zero Dr Pepper or Zero Coke if need something with a bit of taste

Keep on going.... and plan an early night

Ah yeah that would be a bit of a problem ...

How about wrapping up warm and taking them for a walk to the park or something? A bit of fresh air won't hurt you (or them) if you are sensible and the walk will provide the endorphins to make you at least feel a bit better. The toddler could play for a while. Not sure what your weather is like but is sunny here if a bit breezy.

Sorry I cant offer more help!

and all I want to do is eat!!

I have the munchies and i'm trying to keep busy and drink my water whenever i start
thinking about food, but there is only so much housework one can do, when all
i want to do is curl up under my duvet with a plate of toast and melted butter..

The last thing i want to do is come out of ketosis, just need some

Well done on your fantastic weightloss, it gives you a good boost to face theh next week.

Great you have added your tracker too, it gives you a bit of a boost as you travel along your road to your goal.

I am a maple porridge fan, I agree I think it is an acquired taste but loving it as a nice start to the day.

Post by lucylu78 Mon Mar 05, 2012 2:06 am

Hi Sue

my weekend isn't too bad having a nice day together as a family, trying
to make the most of the sunny weather.

I think there is a knack to making the porridge, I have the maple syrup one,
I make it in the micro wave but not as they say on the box. I give it 20 sec blasts stirring all the time then i add a
splash of milk from allowance to make it more creamy then another 20 secs and add more milk after if needed
then let it stand so it thickens up. Its rather nice then.

Hope your weigh in goes well tomorrow-will be looking out for
your results
