Post by Grandma Mac Sun May 31, 2009 6:38 pm

Hi Everyone, gone under 13st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just! start weight 14st 4lbs.
Ive been having the porridge for my breakfast for the last 12 weeks.
I think, this is my life line. It fills me up till lunch time and past lunch, so i have managed to cut out my 11 o'clock snack, which was part of my downfall. No other ceareal has ever done that. So Im so happy with that!
Heres how i mix it , Wink
First i got a small microwave saucepan ,and a 200 ml measuring beaker,(got mine from the Kleenze man)
First empty the poridge into the microwave sauce pan
Add 160 to170 ml of cold water slowly and mix till smooth
Cook for 1 min ( my microwave is 900w)
Take out and stir
Return to microwave, and watch till you see it rise ( about 30-40 secs)
Check its the right thickness for your taste
some times i add half a sliced banana,or a non caloric sweetener
I eat straight from the microwave saucepan because its got a easy to hold handle and it saves on washing up. Also i get every little bit scratch , but then im old and lazy!!
Perfect! Hope this helps! hugs to all Grandma Mac

i'm afraid i dont eat fish so the following idea might be horrible with skate.

how about using your milk allowence to make a white sauce by reducing it over a low heat with a little mustard and black pepper- like a macaroni cheese sauce minus the cheese?

or prehaps stem the fish with a few peper corns, bay, etc and maybe a little white wine (i know alcohol is a no no... but if u usually have a glass with dinner anyway then there cant be much harm in drinking a little less and using it to cook with instead)

Hi

I have another couple of recipes to add for FMRP:

Saturday/Sunday morning:- 1 large mushroom grilled with scrambled egg on it.. (not exactly a recipe, more of an idea lol)

Chicken crisps: Mix one packet of chicken soup with 3 tablespoons of water (or more if needed) until it is a paste, then spread it into a large circle over a flat plate and pop it in the microwave for 2 minutes, if it is soft but not crispy, pop it in for another minute, then break it up, pop it in a bowl and sprinkle with a bit of black pepper.

Admin, please let me know if any of my recipes will in anyway jeopardise weight loss on FMRP as i would hate for people to cook them then not lose as a result.

Thank you

RECIPES IDEAS Empty PROTIKEE MUFFIN RECIPE

Post by Admin Wed Apr 29, 2009 4:09 am

Muffins
Chocolate/Vanilla/Banana/Toffee Flavours / Marvellous Mars (1/2 Vanilla & Chocolate) – In fact, Try them all….

1. Put a little BOILING WATER into a ramekin dish, or whatever you have - thick mug or similar (about 2 desert spoons to begin with - you can add more later if necessary)

2. Add the flavour pack and mix it to a THICK PASTE so thick you think it’s too thick!

3. Put into the microwave on high for just over a minute - if it looks a bit soggy in the middle put it back for about 10 seconds or so.....

4. Keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn or it may taste bitter.

Tip: try making with half a pack to test as time required differs with strength of microwave settings.

Hi Yummy Mummy - Great Idea, we will try to add one every now and again.cheers
FMRP Banoffee Mousse....
Using Packs - 1/2 Weight Control Banana & 1/2 Weight Control Toffee-Butterscotch
Simply use the half the contents from each flavour and using the instructions for the mousse and extremely cold water mix together, arrange in a fancy dish and pop in the fridge for 10-15mins and hey presto a delicious Banoffee Mousse, Jo's is Sales favourite Very Happy

ETIQ's - Greek Fish or Meat Kebabs. ....
Using some of your allowed vegetables and fish or meat make up some skewer sticks and baste with your healthy oil allowance / 1% fat free dressing and grill. Whist under the grill use your milk allowance in 0% fat free yoghurt and mix with a tsp of mint sauce and chop up some cucumber to make a delicious Raita. Serve on a bed of crisp salad leaves & white cabbage for a crunch. Pack your meal with full flavour and enjoy every mouthfull. sunny

PS With healthy oils you can add herbs & spices if wishing to add extra flavour.

Hi Everyone,

I thought i would start a new topic which i stole from the old website, has anyone managed to make any yummy recipes that they would like to share, i know it would really motivate me to learn new ways of using my food replacement products.

The only recipe i can offer at the moment is one that My neighbours made who have lost lots of weight on this diet it is a yummy bake, basically brocolli and couliflower with a veg soup poured over and baked in the oven.

Would love to hear from anyone else who has any recipe ideas Very Happy
