Naughty Pixie Joins the Ranks Empty Hi All

Post by Naughty Pixie Sun Aug 01, 2010 7:55 pm

So sorry not been on for a while, had a family emergency and time has just flown. I have been continually losing although wasnt able to continue with the full VLCD programme as just wasnt the option to prepare products, but was extremely careful with my choices and have now lost 10lbs which I am extremely pleased with and just need to lose another 4lb to complete my target for one stone before I travel.

Now things have settled down and I giving it one big push this week and following a VLCD so watch this space for my last installment.

My plane will take off with me on it !!!

Naughty Pixie Joins the Ranks Empty One Week Completed

Post by Naughty Pixie Wed Jul 07, 2010 7:43 pm

Hi All sorry it's taken me a while since the weekend to get back on here, just never seems the time sometimes.

Well I lost 5lb, I am very pleased, thats a third of what I am hoping before and so well on track. I was very well behaved at the BBQ and really only had to be strong when the call came across "Food" and people flooded to the catering area in a swarm. I sat soaking up the sun, busied myself applying a little lippy and got my self another drink. I must admit and put my hand up to 2 very weak White Wine Spritza, but I did enjoy and this was my compromise.

All the good food vanished pretty quick and then all settled down again with a chat. About an hour later the Desserts came out, now this was a hard one for me and I longed for a mouthfall of Vanilla & Raspberry Cheesecake but that luckily was the first to go and I sniffed my hubbies Triffle and broke of a little Lemon Bar I had for a backup and chewed and chewed and then ate it all. Desserts all gone, and problem solved till the cheese platter came out later in the evening, Cranberry & Wiltshire or something with Hovis Wholemeals and Brie ( I love Brie) this was so so hard as everyone left was tucking in around the table and it meant that I either had to sit on my own or go into the room where I knew I would cave.

I went to the loo and pee'd on a ketosis stick - Honest. It turned pink, yeah I screamed in my head. And excuse the description but whilst I sat there for a little longer than required I went over the day and how pleased I felt with myself and that when I lost my stone I would have some cheese & biscuits as a treat and that I wasnt missing anything I couldnt have another time. I then came out, determined not to eat and when offered some by a friend, said that I had already had a few. No one was the wiser and I was filled with glee. But I did still remove myself as quickly as possible and joined a little group over the otherside of the garden.

Hey Presto 1 Week - 5lb gone already. I must must though drink more water, this has been my biggest problem and I am really looking forward to the new water flavouring coming soon. I think this will help me lots.

Well completed day 2 and going well, not as good as yesterday with the Water, but was running around lots and didnt top up my water bottle. I must drink the water otherwise I know this is something that really taxes FMRP for me and will pull me off, as I either miss read the signals and think Im hungry and start to pick or I start to feel tired and reach for naughties to make me feel better.

So Day 2 - Survived with the thought to do a little better tomorrow. Hope all are doing well keep going and remember nothing tastes as good as being slim will feel.

xx

Naughty Pixie Joins the Ranks Empty Day One completed

Post by Naughty Pixie Wed Jun 30, 2010 5:45 pm

Well I got through day one by the skin of my teeth. Had Chicken Curry for the family last night and so just wanted a chunk of chicken to oh and ah over. But didnt Naughty Pixie Joins the Ranks Icon_cheers

So first day completed without eating, now on to go through today. Feeling remarkable lighter already, and I know I shouldnt as I know all the reasons , blah blah blah but I weighed myself and 2lb lighter.

That's another 12lb to go, so achievable but great, my problem will come this weekend. We are going to a catered BBQ, never been to a catered BBQ before but it sounds delicious. So my rule is to have my products before I go, and not eat nothing. I know if I start it will carry on and could pull me off regaining my loss and needing to start again Monday, which I cant afford to do - Time is against me.

That must be difficult for you, I feel like stuffing just when my kids act up for a little bit so it must take some self restraint quite a lot of the time.

I know it's day one but I do feel so motivated, almost like a guinea pig proving a stone can go in one month or less. No Pressure !! Its either losing weight or sitting under an umbrella with a big hat, glasses, re-inforced big bottoms and a good book. Not what I intended when I booked the holiday some months ago.

First day has gone well, am trying to keep away from the Bars and the Hot Meals that came in the other day and do 4 days on shakes only. I unfortunately dont do the soups and never have.

The Hot Meals that are coming online soon are delicious and I absolutely love them, they are a little more in calories but you get a huge bowl and are so filling and quick to prepare. Gonna wait till my second week and include towards the end as an evening meal with the optional salad or veg if I am over half way there.

There I go with my Rules and Rewards again, such a control freak - I admit it

Naughty Pixie Joins the Ranks Empty Hi Nic

Post by Naughty Pixie Wed Jun 30, 2010 12:33 am

Ooooh how lovely - just went to check my ticker and all was working and already a message to get me through my afternoon.

I must admit that I have always used products since losing my 4.5 stone. I find if I dont I really struggle with keeping off 14lbs (hence my gain), it seems many that shed weight do struggle with one stone. So I tend to try as much as possible not to waste calories or carbs on rubbish. I can now control chocolate and sweets and can have these in the house without munching my way through them immediately and all in one go. Something I could never have done before VLCD. But bread is my downfall, just a little used to send me weak at the knees and I found myself feasting on all sorts. So I do not eat any bread, ever ! Sounds harsh but you soon get used to it and I now tend to not eat it out of habit.

I also set my self some rules, I have to do this, which is why I think a VLCD suited me above all other programmes. Its Black & White, if it's not on the list it's not allowed, theres no choice, no preparation and no having extra and promising to go easy the next day. Also there was no hunger for me and it really controlled my cravings so that I completed 3 months without one nibble, not a lick although I must admit I did sniff quite alot and I was petrified to eat.

Then I had a holiday came back 4lb heavier and really struggled to get back on, it then took me a further 3 months to shed the last bit. I kept losing and gaining the same pounds, until one morning I got so sick of mucking around I just got up and didnt eat for that day, it then just continued as I realised how long it had taken me to do just one day without cheating, and then two days on the trot and then three days on the trot and it went on until I reached my BMI.

I truly believe to this day that if I can go without eating anyone can. I was a grazer, snacking all day on bits and pieces and then sitting down to a quite large dinner. When I learnt portion control I couldnt believe the amount of pasta that I had when we had Spag Bol, and today I still gasp when I see others eating this type of dish.

It has also been easier to control my weight as my appetite never returned to the same, my portions are smaller and I eat fruit and nuts, not to keen on seeds but wish I did. I think having the products and lower carb meals helps control my cravings so much.

Thanks for your message, back to work LOL

Post by Naughty Pixie Wed Jun 30, 2010 12:11 am

Hi All,

Well what can I say, I hang my head in shame. I want to lose 14lb for my holidays when we close in August.

I reached my target in 2006 and have mainly found in not to difficult to maintain my weight, gaining a few, losing a few - Apart from Christmas when I generally gain around 7lb and then return to Etiq One for a couple of weeks until back to target.

But things got out of control a little recently, too much footy, too much comfort eating and too much socialising so I now need to lose 10lb to get back to my target weight and then a further 4lb so that I can enjoy gaining it on holiday LOL

I thought I would start posting so that I could use the tracker and can get away with being a Naughty Pixie any more. My BMI is around 28 and my BMI of 25 is 10 6lb so I have chosen to blast the 14lb off my legs, tum and bum which where it gathers with the Kee FMRP plan.

So here goes....
Day One, my first step on my journey was my usual Morning Chocolate Total Shake made with cold peppermint tea - So no different from usual.
I have then drunk around 1 litre of cold water and I am presently drinking my lunch a Total Strawberry Shake. I then promise (and not a pixie promise) to not eat any conventional food for the rest of the day. Brownie Promise - Dib Dib !
