About to start, Exercise? Empty Re: About to start, Exercise?

HI there, well done on getting started and welcome to the board!
I have to be honest, exercise is something I've found hard to build into this plan. I tried a few times near the beginning (maybe too soon?) and felt quite weak and got cramps easily. I asked advice from the admin team here (you can email them yourself if you like, they are really helpful) and they said to have an extra Total bar before significant exercise (I generally swim a mile, or do long hillwalks). However I didn't want to jeopardise the diet by either eating too much extra, or using up too many calories so my body went into 'starvation mode', and I rapidly discovered that I was losing weight well without any exercise so I'm afraid I just haven't done any for the past couple of months (I am quite active with young kids though in general) until this weekend when I did a couple of bike rides and felt OK (not great, but OK - great afterwards though!) My aim is now to increase my exercise as I move onto Etiquette plans in another couple of weeks and start taking on more calories.
That said, since you are in a good routine anyway, you may have no bother with this and perhaps an extra bar/pack from the start might be OK for you to build in.
Let me know what you decide to do, and how you get on, good luck!

About to start, Exercise? Empty About to start, Exercise?

Post by Gooshy Wed Apr 21, 2010 9:19 am

Hi,

I have placed my first order and will be starting in a couple of days once I get my head round all the info on this site. One thing I did pick up on was its suggested to only do light exercise for the first couple of week. The problem I have is I do martial arts twice a week and am wondering if what will happen if I keep going?

Thanks.

Gooshy
