Re: Newbie Enjoying Keediet!
Hi Lanerz
Lovely to hear from you! :-)
I've just come on-line and read your intro before I realised that you
had sent me a message. Thanks for touching base...great to hear from another
newbie like me.
I laughed when I read your intro because I thought exactly
the sane about the food. It is scrummy with the vegetables!
After researching other popular plans, I wondered why they don't
include vegetables on their equivalent of the Rapid Burn programmes (?).
as some people would fare much better eg ME, I could not have coped!
That is why I chose the Keediet.
Yes, you were right, Saturday was my 2nd weigh-in (the 1st being
the first day of the Keediet and my starting weight). I am
happy to report that I lost 6lbs! :-)
I must admit Lanerz, I was happy that I'd lost weight
but I expected to lose at least 8lbs hearing about the
fantastic losses people report. So there was a smidgen
of disappointment. However, I quickly told myself that I
had been trying to lose 2lb for a year and didn't. I did Kee
for ONLY 1 wk and lost 3 times the amount. So I count
that as a major success. I used that thought to inspire me
onwards.
So, how are you getting on? I hope well and your recent
weigh-in showed the dropped pounds! Do let me know.
Speak soon

Re: Newbie Enjoying Keediet!
Hi Truediamondgirl,
We started out a couple of days apart - just like to wish you all the best!
Weigh in for you tomoz then? Let us know how you do?
Ketosis - usually about three days after starting a VLCD, there are things you can buy to check I believe, but one good giveaway is the horrible taste in your mouth!
Bye for now - Lanerz x

Newbie Enjoying Keediet!
Hi there everyone!
I just thought I would post and introduce myself :-)
I'm a Mother of one hormonal, stroppy but completely lovable,
mini-me, female16 year old! I live in London and when not hiding
from all and sundry due to my increased weight (14s 6lb six days ago)
I am actually a quite social woman about town kinda gal, who loves
her little luxuries in life (don't we all?).
Anyway, a break-up, a medical condition leading to a major operation,
with the accompanying depression and lack of confidence all helped
to pile the pounds on!
It's funny how weight at different stages in your life redistributes itself!
I'm a size 18/16 and even though I had been this size before years ago
(after pregnancy & stay at home Mum weight) then it was just a bigger me.
This time I had spare rolls of fat on my back, my stomach disappeared
And a barrel appeared in its place, my permanently slim ankles went awol.
And I was just full of flab with seriously rubbing thighs. How did that happen?
It was those last facts that made me depressed and desperately want
to do something about it. I signed up to LL but cancelled as I found it
too expensive for my budget. I looked around for something similar on
the internet and this seemed ideal and BETTER!
I am on the Rapid Burn plan as my BMI is 33. 5ft 6' and14s 6lb. My food box
for 1 month arrived on Friday afternoon so started Kee
on Saturday. Been on it 6 days and I can't believe
how easy I am finding it! I find the chocolate bars delicious,
especially with a cup of tea in the evening. I love the cottage pie
with vegetables and mushrooms. The only thing I don't like is
the porridge. That shocked me because I love porridge normally (???)
Anyway, my next weigh-in is on Saturday, so I am realky
curious to see how much I've lost.
Quick question.....how do I know I am in or out of ketosis?
Anyway, must go and drink some water :-)
