Brill VLCD weight loss
Hi Trazzer, well done, shows that you controlled your meal and choices and that the rest of your week you followed the rules.
Well Done, having that meal would have pulled many dieters off and on the road to Binge.

Re: Hello All :D
Hi gang,
Just a flying visit before I go off to bed. Just remembered I need to report in my WI today. -2lbs off this week, which isn't bad when you've had a Chinese meal too, eh?
Satisfied with that, and looking forward to seeing the numbers drop further next week hopefully.
Had a nice moment today when I nipped into Next before my hair appointment, I tried on some jeans, and the petite size 16 was too big for me! Decided if that was the case, I'd not waste my £, and wait to shrink into the 4 pairs of size 14 jeans I've got that I fitted in before. I guess I might be a size 15 at the mo, as the 14's area bit too snug to get away with.
Right, off to bed now.

Thanks Danni

The cruddy feeling doesn't last too long, maybe a day or so. It's just that initial tipping over into it, and feeling a bit under the weather as a result. Once you get through that, you feel masses better.
Yes, I'm feeling better in myself thanks. The night out last night was a good tonic, as we had lots of giggles, and it's always good to talk about how you're feeling with people who know you well, and understand what's gone on over the years with me, so that was a great benefit. OH and I are having lots of good, constructive chats, and he's recognised that I've probably been somewhat neglected by him over the past year or so, but not intentionally, and he's taking that all on board, and plans to make sure it all improves. I think he was really panicked by it all, and scared he was losing me. It doesn't do any harm to get things out in the open every now and again, and if anything, I probably should have said something sooner, but you put these things off, don't you?
Oh I'm sure there'll be a time you can get to sample my wares in the future. I've just cut up, and packaged a whole tray of millionaires, decorated 2 cakes, and put a load of jumbo cookies away after cooling. Thankfully I can do that now without it being a temptation. When you're around food all the time, it's just work. It's a bit like when you cook a roast dinner, and by the time you've dished it up and sat down to eat it, you don't really feel much like it. I find food is always so much more appealing if I've not had to cook it. I can't say I have many times when I'm sat down smelling food being prepared to eat by someone else, as I do all the cooking in our house, and we rarely eat out.
Time for another cup of tea I think, before I have to cook the family their dinner.
Keep drinking the fluids Danni!

Re: Hello All :D
Thanks Admin.
The meal wasn't so bad, and we ate the meal at a friend's house, so I didn't have to order from the menu.
I ate much smaller portions than everyone else, but it wasn't noticed, and I had a starter of meat wrapped in a lettuce leaf, so that was fine. The rest I just put small portions on my plate, ate the meat, avoided the carbs, so no rice, etc., and had a little bit of this and that. All in all, I think it will have been OK. I drank plenty of fluids before, during and after, and am hoping it flushes through today with the help of plenty more. I can feel the salt in my system, just from the little I had. Amazing how quickly we get used to things, or without things.
I accept I joined a VLCD, but then when I thought about it, Kee offers the flexibility to follow the plan replacing a couple of meals a day, and having your own too, and I have to consider that real life will always be there, so learning to deal with it while following the plan is better than falling flat on my face after I think I've done it once I hit my target.
So, it's shown me that I could enjoy the evening without gorging myself, and eating too much. I imagined previously that I'd have probably gone out of control given the chance, but the reality is that I felt very much in control, and eating the meal was a choice I had. In some ways, a planned step out of the diet is better than an unplanned one, where you then feel enormous guilt afterwards.
I had a lovely evening with my friends, and I'm not beating myself up about it today. Back on track with my plan as usual, and not feeling like I've undermined my efforts, which is good, because sometimes the biggest battle is in the mind with a diet, rather than with the food.
Have a great Thursday everyone!

Hi
After reading your post I scanned our Lent Messages for an inspirational quote, and thought this was quite fitting for your predicament,
LENT DAY 15 Motivational Quote...Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way, ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future. ~ Deepak Chopra ~
We all feel that if we get invited to a meal we must eat, but this is a choice and whilst following a VLCD you have really signed up for a total meal replacement plan for a short period of time. Going without will really grow your confidence and willpower to succeed. If there is a group of people, you may be surprised that it really doesnt matter that much if you don't eat, or order a small portion, maybe save your salad/veggie portion and work around it, move food around your plate and leaver most, £3.00 spent on a starter that is left is better than 3lb weight gain
Really have a good scan of the menu to see what you can eat, even if you end up with a chicken omelette, eat a little and lots of water

Re: Hello All :D
Oh now I'm dreading my meal tomorrow (which is back on again)!
Thanks for the words of encouragement Danni. My BF is the same, fit as a butcher's dog, never been overweight, actually struggles to put weight on, can eat whatever he wants, and stays the same trim shape and weight. He is a fairly active guy, and enjoys going to the gym a few times a week, so that definitely helps.
He never says anything negative about my weight, but will acknowledge when I've mentioned about putting on weight and feeling fat and frumpy, that he can notice it, but never in an 'ugh! your bum's so big I can't see the TV anymore' kind of way. It's more in a 'oooh, your bum's looking nice and big, I like it!' kind of way. Good, but not good IYSWIM. I'm not blaming him for me gaining weight, that's all my own work He's supportive of whatever I choose to do, which is fab. I think I'm just feeling impatient and unsettled.
I think there must be something in the water/rain at the mo, because I've got a couple of friends feeling a bit similar to me... maybe it's an age thing? OH did ask if I was having a mid-life crisis. lol I probably just need to sell the car and get a 2 seater to complete things!
So, tomorrow I'll be drinking lots of water, in an attempt to help to keep things flushing through me, and will continue to do so for the rest of the week. Hope that come next Monday that chinky chonky will be a distant memory for my body, and the pounds will not stick.
Promise to not be so miserable too.

Re: Hello All :D
Haha, thanks Danni,
I'm now not sure if my meal is going ahead (it was scheduled to be a Chinese too... all that MSG!). The way I'm trying to look at it is that after Kee, real life will continue to interfere in my food schedule, such as meals out with friends, and they choose the venue, etc., and as skinny people seem to be able to eat out, and control their weight, why shouldn't I? What I do have is a secret weapon of being able to make use of Kee packs to support me along the way, inbetween those times. So perhaps I'm better off than they are?
I do 2 WI's a week, once on a Monday, and then again on a Wednesday, as I support another online group (have done for years, with various different attempts at weightloss over the past, hmmm, 4 years?). If I am at all concerned that I might not be doing the plan as I should, I might have a step on over the w/end to see how things are going. It was being a complete coward, and eating myself stupid last year that got me to the weight I started at!
Have spent this past w/end having a bit of a heart to heart with my BF about things, as I feel my weight has been a symptom of some of the issues we've had going on in our lives (externally and internally), and said it was wrong that I had so little respect for myself in recent months, that I'd simply given up caring what effect gorging on food was doing to me. I'd gotten into a spiral of self-loathing, combined with a 'who cares' attitude. In reality I should have cared, and so should he. Usually when I'm feeling emotionally uptight, I'd be comfort eating, but ironically, I've not felt able to eat very well, and have only been able to stomach a hot drink or water, so that's a bit of a weird experience all round.
Hopefully BF and I can work at improving things all round. I know a lot of it is down to me feeling unfulfilled, and the older I get, becoming 'invisible' as a person. I am hoping that by improving the outside, I can convince my inside that I am OK still, and work at it from there. Getting older isn't all it's cracked up to be, eh?
You must be thrilled at hitting the 25lb marker. I'm at 22lb so far, so not hit that 2 stone yet, just gone through the 13's into the 12's - at last!! I started at 14st 6lb, and never thought I'd see the 12's again. 12st 2lb used to be the heaviest I ever allowed myself to get to after I'd had a baby!! Yeah, well I gained the equivalent of all 4 of my babies on top of that over the years. In reality, to be in a healthy weight, I actually need to get to under 9st 7lb. I think I was aged 13 the last time I saw that weight, but I'm going to give it a go.
Hope you have a great week. Will let you know how the meal goes, if it happens at all (friend was having us to her house, but only realised today that her hubby is actually home all week - he usually works away, hence we were going to her's).

Well Done
Brill News Sarah Great to break a barrier, keep focused this week, make good choices when possible, plenty of water, and why not be saucey yourself at the meal and ask them to put the sauce on the side or even without. LOL
Re: Hello All :D
Morning!
WI day this morning, and at the end of Week 8, I've lost 2lb, and FINALLY got through the 2nd stone barrier, that seemed to be eluding me for so long. I'm hoping that next week's WI won't be skewed too much by me going out for a meal on Wednesday... I know the food choice is going to be fairly unhealthy, but will stick with as much meat & veg based foods, and avoid things that are high in carbs. The sauces on food is what is probably going to make it hard, because they are invariably packed with sugars. I'm not bothered by fats if they're natural, as I think our bodies need them anyway (something the Atkins diet and other low carb diets advocate).
I've put on a pair of jeans this morning that were too tight before I started the diet, and have gone down another notch on my belt, so thats about 4 notches now, and the waist is so baggy now, that I can't see me being able to wear them for much longer, as they waistband is just bunched up with the belt. I'm wearing all my size 16 jeans/trousers fine now, and actually managed to get a pair of size 14's on, and done up last week too, but know I'm about 10lb away from those looking OK. It's helpful to gauge where I'm 'at' with the loss, as when I look in the mirror, I can't really notice a difference in myself, and my family who see me every day aren't ideal to judge it either. I know that when I drop another 6lbs, that's when it will be more noticeable for others, as 1 stone never seems to be that obvious, but when you get to 2, that's when you get the comments.
So, this week will be challenging, and I am concerned about having to go through the carb cravings and ketosis again, but that's life.
Hope you area all having good weekends. Been quiet here.

Re: Hello All :D
Oooh, pinch, punch, first of the month, and no returns!! <<< hehe, there's even a white rabbit smiley!
Thanks girls!
Well this week will be the decider as to whether it was just a plateau, and the diet keeps doing the job and I'll lose about 3lb, or I'll take a careful week off the plan, doing just lean meat/veg, but no carbs (a bit like a Slimming World diet on red days), and see if that tricks my body into kick-starting again.
I hope the headache doesn't last too long Sue. I was pretty lucky and didn't really suffer from that, but there's no saying it won't happen in future. In a day or so you'll be in ketosis fully, and will be fine. Are you suffering from any food cravings? I struggled with having a general 'must graze all day' feeling, but after the first week, I was OK again.
Right, so I'm going to stick with it this week, and try to do a good mix of packs so I'm not having the same thing all the time, and see how that works out by the end of the week. I do have to bear in mind TOTM is due this w/end, so that might have an effect on my body this week. Grrr!
Have a great Tuesday!

Re: Hello All :D
Hi Sarah,
Well done another pound you havent got to lose again. To be in the next stone is just a fabulous
feeling and i bet you are there already, its always the same when you get on the scales, never reads
what you want it to. However a loss is always good whatever the amount.
I have had a shake and cottage pie so far today, am having the veg this time to see how i get on. If i feel
its slowing my weight loss i will just have packs but as you have said the veg really bulks things out
and makes it more like a meal.
The dreaded headache is kicking in so im going to drink more to see if it does the trick.
Have a great week

Hi Sarah
It's so disheartening isn't it? Im still baffled with my putting on a lb!! But like you said a lb is a lb so you should be congratulated ' harrrrahhhhh ' lol.
Here's for a better week or I shall take a week off and re-start maybe shake it up a bit.
Lots of luck

Re: Hello All :D
Morning all,
WI day for me today, and it's another 1lb off today. Not quite the larger loss I've been spoiled with in earlier weeks of the diet, but a pound is a pound. I am about 2 ounces off of that elusive 12 stone something mark. Gah! I feel like I've been looking at the 13's forever now!
Taking into account last week being another disrupted one diet-wise, I suppose I should just be grateful. I might try mixing things up a bit this week, and do less bars, and more shakes, soups and meal packs. Of course, putting on board the water is all important, and I am not so good at that (rely more on decaf tea for my fluid intake).
So, here's to a more spectacular week, with a more impressive result ahead I hope.

Re: Hello All :D
Thanks guys!
I've had one of those breakthrough days today. I remember Sue having her's a few weeks back. Someone actually noticed I'd lost weight today, and said I looked really well. It's nice that it's now beginning to show.
Little moments like that are what help me to stay on course. I've had to resist another buffet table of birthday food today already, as it was my friend's mother's 80th at her nursing home, and there was a spread laid on. I made the birthday cake, and even had a slice of that pushed under my nose, but I didn't eat it, and just slipped it back onto the table without being noticed. I didn't refuse the small glass of wine offered, as it would have been rude, but I only used it to toast the birthday girl, didn't actually drink it, and again slipped it back onto the tray of glasses.
Finding ways to be subtle about dieting is an art form they don't teach you in school!
I live to diet another day though - hurrah!

Hi!
WI day for me today, and it's 2lbs off this week. I'm hoping I will have a slightly bigger loss next week, but am more than grateful to have had a loss ever week so far, and 19lbs in 6 weeks of doing the plan, which is just over the 3lbs weekly loss that Kee predict.
The sun is shining here, so it's a lovely Monday so far today. Have done my work for today already, getting a lemon sponge decorated and delivered before lunchtime. Hope we all have a fab start to the week.

Re: Hello All :D
Evening all,
Danni that is a shame about Claire, but it's her choice, and I'm sure she'll change her mind again in the future.... probably when here knees start to give her some problems!
A reasonable day here for me. Felt rather peckish during the afternoon, but I find do find that the soy puffs are quite good at filling a gap, and I tend to drink 500ml of water with every packet of those, so it's a good way of getting fluid in too.
What a shame the weather has been so pants most of the day. Started off OK, and I even hung some washing out. The problem is, it's still out there, and it has rained on/off for hours now. I've not been out all w/end, so feel a bit stir crazy, but I managed to get some petrol in the car last week, and am a bit wary of using it unnecessarily, just in case there's going to be this issue with the petrol supplies again.
I've got a fairly busy week planned ahead, so I might be a bit quieter than usual. Working all next weekend, so preparing produce for that all this week, and taking a day out on Thursday possibly, to collect some close friends from Gatwick airport (which will mean leaving home by 5am! ) Birthday cake making/decorating tomorrow, and then visiting my friend's poorly mum in her care home Tues, where she'll be celebrating her 80th birhday.
So, whatever you all have planned for next week, I hope it's a good one. Weather forecast looks set to be more rain on/off, but I'd rather get it out of the way now, than in the middle of summer, and maybe the hosepipe ban might be lifted too?
WI day for me tomorrow. Not sure how good it might be, but I know that any loss is to be welcomed. Having fitted into a pair of jeans I've not worn in a good few years today, I'm more than happy. I do think that this past week or so my body has been changing/shifting things around, so anticipate once that's settled down a bit, the bigger losses might come again. Measurements yesterday were 2" off waist/hips/bust and 1" off each arm/leg, so that's 10" in 5/6 weeks! Not bad going huh? By those stats, if I lose another stone and a half, I'll be looking at hopefully knocking off the same amount again?! Now that really will make me happy. I'm just hoping that in the next 6 weeks I manage to get myself into a pair of my size 14 jeans again. That's my biggest goal.
I've also got some rewards lined up for myself when I hit short-term goals: 2 stone means I can go get my hair coloured/cut (been waiting months to get it done). When I hit 3 stone, I am going to treat myself to a pedicure and manicure.
Does anyone else have any goals in mind for their journey?
Have a great week.

Re: Hello All :D
So glad you enjoyed it.
Yes, I watched the Sky program Claire Richards - Slave to Food, It think it was called.
I think her motivation to want to lose weight is all wrong... she does it to fit in with a target set by a magazine, not something she wants to do for herself, so whilst she has a commercial/business commitment to reach, it isn't actually a personal target to make herself feel better. If you've ever had to work to a business target, you resent it while you're doing it if it's tough and demanding, and then when it's over you just want to kick back, and forget all about it (and get your life back)!
Whoever is responsible for her wardrobe needs shooting. She looks to be a medium height girl, so probably able to wear clothes that I couldn't (being of dumpy numpty stature ) Just look at how sophisticated and elegant Adele looked when she was bigger. If the styling is right, it can look good. Putting a larger woman into stacked high heels - 'to make her legs look thinner and longer' ... actually it doesn't, it just makes her @rse stick out further, make her uneasy on her feet, and look awkward, which in turn draws attention tot he fact she's big. She would probably look better in a wide-leg trouser suit, longer line well tailored dresses, and definitely not sky high shoes. *steps off soapbox, pardon the pun!*
I really like Claire, and I know that in her relationship she is now very happy, with a husband who loves her no matter what, but she needs to consider that she has to think about herself, the food related messages she's giving her child, and also think of her health and what makes her happy. Having a partner who loves you no matter what size shouldn't be a reason to let yourself off the hook, and gorge on food constantly... I should know!
She does have a fabulous voice, and had by far the best vocals in the group. Seeing their reunion program was a bit of an eye-opener that the likes of Lee and pushy Lisa really felt that they shouldn't have been left out of the lead vocals in the group previously. Really??!!! When you've got a vocal talent like Claire, she's obviously got to be the lead, they can't all be lead singers. The Jacksons could all sing, but it was obvious Michael was the real vocal talent, and they went with that.
I've heard S-Club are doing a reformed tour maybe next year..... quite fancy that too *goes off singing 'reach for the stars'......*

Hi
The concert was amazing Ive not been to see steps before and it was worth the pricey ticket. Did any of you see the documentary on Claire Richards she's the larger blond girl in the band. Well I really did feel sorry for her as she has put lots of weight on and compared to the other 2 thinner girls couldn't really keep up with all the dancing and to be honest it was quite uncomfortable to watch! Plus wardrobe did nothing but promote the Fact she's large and made her look even bigger by giving her long puffed out costumes. I felt sorry for her but she has an absolutely brilliant voice and wowed the crowd!
Would go again and def recommend

Re: Hello All :D
Evening all,
I've been dead adventurous today, I've tried 2 new products. I wasn't so keen on the strawberry wafer thingamys, but I've just tried the chilli soy puffs, and they're rather tasty - if a bit spicy! You definitely need to have a drink of water beside you when tackling those. On the upside, it's really nice to have foods with some flavour in them, and I do crave savoury foods more than sweet, so they definitely give me that fix.
Just thought I'd give you all a bit of product feedback (ooh, pardon the pun!).

Hi Danni,
Have a really fab time at the concert, i used to love Steps back in the good old days. I hope they sing all their
old hits that you can sing along to .
Keep your weight loss in your mind that you have already achieved, remember every lb counts and if you were
at ww you would be highly delighted to be just 1lb lighter, we are so lucky to have good weight losses every
week. Bet you will be dead proud on your official weigh day when those scales go sliding down....
Have a good weekend

Re: Hello All :D
Hi Danni,
I hope you enjoy the concert. My friend's daughter saw them a couple of weeks ago and said they were fab, so you're bound to enjoy it, and they do a dance-along bit too.... "Tragedy!" Just think, you'll be burning off the fat the more you dance.
I've been totally hooked on doing this ancestry thing, and it's been keeping me from doing practically everything else. The rest of the family will be losing weight too at this rate, if I don't remember to cook them dinners while I'm researching relatives. That's the thing with this diet, I'm so switched off from eating ordinary food (where I'd usually have been thinking about my next meal, while eating the current one), that I just keep forgetting about everyone else.
I went shopping yesterday and bought a fresh lot of veggies, so curly kale, leeks, broccoli, mushrooms and some celery all going into my pot of microwaved veg tonight. I am missing having fruit at the moment, and would kill for a banana!
I tried one of the strawberry wafers today, but have only eaten 1 half of it, as I found it a bit too artificially sweet for my taste, and not as nice as the chocolate ones, but it was only a sample so no harm done.
19lbs is a big loss to have had so far, and your OH is right to reassure you.... I sat opposite mine eating a McDonald's yesterday while I had my banana shake. I'm finding it easier to do, but last weekend I was severely tempted by the Doritos, and just managed to avoid nibbling on them. The cheese ones are my absolute fave crisps though, so it was a big thing not to cave in. I guess this is all the training we need to get used to, so that in the future, I will stop myself over-indulging. It was all too easy to say 'oh, g'wan, just a bit won't hurt..' but all those bits added up to a whole heap of rubbish.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Sarah and Sue
Hope you are both well this week. You've been very quiet busy at work? The kids have allowed me to use iPad with out to much of a struggle! The power of Easter egg chocolate

I really hope you have a fab weekend as I'm off to the O2 this evening for a steps concert! Hope it's not gonna rain all day!!!!!

Re: Hello All :D
Hi Sue,
I microwave my veggies in a bowl, with a bit of water, covered with clingfilm. I tend to have about 1/4 of a courgette, slice a bit off the cabbage, a few slices of leeks, maybe some bits of broccoli, 4 mins in the micro, drain off the water, and put it on top of my hot meal. I sprinkle a little bit of aromat on top of the veg, which is a bit like a sprinkle bouillon, but a bit of salt & pepper would be just as good. I just think it adds a bit of variety to a meal. I do have cups to measure with, and I know my veg would fit in one of these. I split my allowance for one cup with lunch, another with dinner. It definitely keeps you filling fuller for longer too.
I'm on plenty of fluids again now. I can drink the water if it's not cold, and room temp is fine.
Well done on that extra lb Sue, brilliant news, and good planning ahead for the meal. I wish it had been a carvery or something similar for me to choose from, but it was a carb-fest, not even a side salad in sight, which would have helped.
Have a great Wednesday, I'm keeping myself busy trying to do some family tree research.

Re: Hello All :D
Hi sue
Congrats on that pound!! So come Monday you'll be over the 2 stone mark!!!
I have veg with mine in the evening as I'd not survive the night watching the hubby snack! I have half a courgette and a few small mushrooms cooked on the griddle I do use that flora low calorie fridge stuff which claims to be better than olive oil or fry light which is fab. I also have a couple of jars of herbs or spices if I want flavour. The best thing with the courgettes is I make chips with them and have with my omelette and not cheating!!
As for portion size I weigh broccoli cabbage uncooked.
Anyway hope this helps

Congrats on that pound!! So come Monday you'll be over the 2 stone mark!!!

Re: Hello All :D
Morning Sarah,
I decided yesterday to start adding veg allowance to my cottage pie, when i read the
amounts on the website it states 50cal or 2 cups. I really dont have any idea what a
cup of veg is, are they raw amounts or cooked. In the end i just steamed some cabbage
(a small amount) and poached a large flat mushroom. I know you have been using veg all
along so i was wondering how much you had. I must say it was delicious after 8 weeks
just on packs as i love veg any way. I have my brothers 50th birthday meal at the end
of the month and my thought is that i will be able to get away with just eating veg as we
are going for a carvery, (i dont eat meat anyway) so i am starting to introduce it now so
my system gets used to it. After that i aim to do another month to get another stone off.
I took a sneaky peek on the scales this morning (naughty i know ) just to make sure the veg
hadnt made a difference (paranoid or what) and i had lost another pound bringing my total
to 28lb, thats the ellusive pound i wanted on monday. Im not updating my ticker till next monday
but i feel really good about it.
Hope you are marching onwards, any advice on the veg would be appreciated.
Thanks Sarah

Re: Hello All :D
Hi Sarah
Life is never fair when there are those out there that can eat and never put any weight on, but hey ho!...
Maybe the hunger pangs are just telling you you're thirsty, not necessarily hungry. If your water intake has been down, this can make you feel as though your hungry, so my philosophy is that if the pangs hit, I grab a pint of water and drink and for some reason it works. Another thing I have tried is having a warm drink and this seems to stave off the pangs as well.
Just a bit of advice from an old timer on these VLCD...

Re: Hello All :D
Thanks Lisa, Sue & Danni, thanks for all the kind words and support. You are all absolutely right, and I'm not feeling demoralised about things. If anything, I'm feeling more spurred on to really have a good week. I know having eaten 'real' food, it has knocked my body sideways a bit, as I was feeling really hungry last night, and this morning I have felt it too. I'd gotten into a nice groove, where I wasn't having the hunger pangs anymore, and was having to remind myself to eat some days. I know it'll come back, and just knowing that is a comfort, and encourages me to keep going.
Danni, I had my TOTM last week, and it does have an effect. I was so glad to have the chocolatey and caramel bars to curb my cravings for sweet things. Speaking of TMI, this weekend I've also had problems with, ahem, going for a number 2, shall we say! I know it's a common side effect, but I think it's definitely where I've not had enough water, or my veggies. I did have cabbage a couple of days I was away, but it simply wasn't enough.
My OH is exactly like your's Lisa. He's 12.8stone of solid muscle, not an ounce of fat on him, eats what he likes, although he does tend to naturally eat healthily, and goes to the gym 3 times a week. He even works doing maintenance for a fast food chain, and eats meals there 4 times a week, and has lost 7lb since he's worked there! That's not fair, is it?
I look at my ticker though, and it has moved down to 35 on the bmi, and that's only 10 more to get to a healthy bmi, which makes me feel positive too.
Right, I'm going to have another bottle of water now, then I'll have my shake for a late breakfast.
Thanks again guys!

Hey Sarah
You know a lb might suck in your mind but when I went to ww a long time ago they had weights and a lb is heavy!! And to be honest when I did lighterlfe you sometimes did only lose a lb but if you measure yourself I bet you've lost inches!!
At the beginning I didn't measure myself but I did take photos and next Tuesday I have to take more so I'm hoping I can see change for extra inspiration!!
And my weigh in this morning was same as yesterday but have my monthly cycle ( you all needed to know this!! Lol ) so I think that has an impact.
I'm glad we have days of temptation as when finished this journey it's gonna be even harder to resist!!
I'm going out to buy my son his birthday present he's 12 today got family visiting pizza hut for dinner and party cake! Oh the joys to watch them feast!!
Enjoy the rain all

Re: Hello All :D
Hi Sarah,
I think you have done amazing to lose and every 1lb off is one that you are not going to have to lose
again. If you can up the water this week i think that might help you, i know i did it and it helped with the
weight loss.
Like you say, today is another day and the chance to move forwards and downwards . Its hard when the
scales dont seem to be moving, try not to get on them again till next monday and i bet you will be jumping
up and down then.
Have a good day and i will catch up with you tonight. Got to get my brolly out now its pouring down here.
Love sue x

Hi Sarah
A lb is a lb and it one less than there was last week!
I understand how hard some weeks are because of your social life as my OH is one of these that loves eating out and socialising but never seems to put an ounce on!
However, he has been very good over the last few weeks and is actually quite enjoying the smaller me!
Here's to a good week for all..

Re: Hello All :D
Morning all,
Well, after feeling like the plan had been all but sabotaged this weekend, I should be grateful for a 1lb loss this week (although I know that I'd already lost that by last Wednesday, so 6 days with no shift is a bit of a worry really).
Anyway, new week, new start and all that. I'm sure I have not had the right amount of water, so that will definitely be upped, the plan will be back to normal now, so here's hoping.
Mentally, I'm at a weight I tend to get stuck at on other diets, so I really do need to bust through what I see as a barrier.
Right, I'm off to fill that water bottle now. Have a great Tuesday, and I hope the sun shines where you are, because it's a dank, wet one again here.

Re: Hello All :D
OMG Sarah, I have never seen cakes that look as good as yours. Where do you get your ideas from,
they are just amazing .
I know that i could never stick to any diet if i could bake creations like that so i take my hat off to
you for losing weight.
You are certainly very talented and put me to shame with my shop bought goodies.
Hope your having a good week

Re: Hello All :D
Hi Sue,
If you look under my profile image, there's an icon below it (looks like the world), and that's my website link there. Not sure if I'm able to mention it in a post? My business is called The English Cake Company, and that should find me on facebook too.
Hope we're all having a great Wednesday. I've got a Barbie cake to start making today, and really not feeling the pink vibe to be honest.
Catch you all later.
Trazzer, my packet of cottage pie just arrived today! Thank you so much, you're an absolute life saver

Awww Danielle, that's so kind of you, thanks!
I do love decorating my cakes, and think I'm so lucky to do a job I enjoy, even if I do some ridiculously long hours sometimes doing it.
Have a look for my facebook page with the same name, and you'll get to see the cakes I've made for the family stuff too (a bit more casual) and maybe even me in there too! Eeeek!
