Thanks - I will try the stove method. Seems odd that changing just 10ml of water might make a difference, but I will experiment some more. Nothing wrong with the flavour, just the texture. Will post again if I have success.

Hi Wend
So sorry Porridge is not working for you. We understand from clients that it is a fine art and most tell us that the Grandma Macs reciepe is better than the manufacturers.
We believe it is finding the right amount of water and time for the microwave you have or maybe try on the stove, use the amount of water required and stirr for approx 3 - 4 minutes without over boiling.
Hope helped

Re: BEST PORRIDGE FROM GRANDMA MAC
Still not getting on well with the porridge. Shame cos the Cambridge porridge was so good and kept me full through the am. So important when on social kee cos ketosis is mild so don't get the feeling of massive energy and no hunger.
Tried the manufacturers instructions twice, tried Grandma Macs. !st time it was as solid as cheese, 2nd time I put in 200ml water and it was like milk shake. Today I used 180ml and it is better. But not that good. It seems to curdle and separate from the water. No creamy porridge texture, more like a grainy souffle.
ANY IDEAS ANYONE? It is time for me to re-order for next week and I don't know what to do about the porridge.

Thanks Grandma Mac
Thanks Grandma Mac, I never really liked the porridge before, just couldnt get it right, mine was more like grule (not sure spelt right).
But had a couple of packs left over and tried your recipe, IT WORKED LIKE A DREAM and I am a convert. The apple porridge was delicious with real chucks of sweet apple. Know what I am having for breakfast tomorrow.
Thanks for sharing with us and glad to hear you are still losing, it is hard, especially if not that mobile so you deserve a bunch of flowers xx

Hi Everyone, gone under 13st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just! start weight 14st 4lbs.
Ive been having the porridge for my breakfast for the last 12 weeks.
I think, this is my life line. It fills me up till lunch time and past lunch, so i have managed to cut out my 11 o'clock snack, which was part of my downfall. No other ceareal has ever done that. So Im so happy with that!
Heres how i mix it ,
First i got a small microwave saucepan ,and a 200 ml measuring beaker,(got mine from the Kleenze man)
First empty the poridge into the microwave sauce pan
Add 160 to170 ml of cold water slowly and mix till smooth
Cook for 1 min ( my microwave is 900w)
Take out and stir
Return to microwave, and watch till you see it rise ( about 30-40 secs)
Check its the right thickness for your taste
some times i add half a sliced banana,or a non caloric sweetener
I eat straight from the microwave saucepan because its got a easy to hold handle and it saves on washing up. Also i get every little bit , but then im old and lazy!!
Perfect! Hope this helps! hugs to all Grandma Mac
Thanks Grandma Mac - This seems to work much better than the manufacturers instructions.
